That “overworked stressful American way” is going to be an influence on every aspect of your life, creeping its way in for as long as you allow it! It will be a constant reminder and effort to make sure you tune that out on a regular basis. Which is why I am so lucky to be surrounded by people who aren’t like that, allowing me to learn other ways of living. But as long as you are “aware” and take baby steps, the desire to do much more with much less will overcome!! Good luck with your internal journey and pura vida!

I have always had the desire to travel and to get more out of life than the typical 9 to 5 and partying on the weekends. It is hard to find like-minded individuals, but your article is a big assurance that there are people out there who want more than just fame and possessions.
Do you think it is possible to hang onto that high now that you are out of the Costa Rican culture? How long do you think it will be until the over-worked, stressful American ways starts creeping back into your life?

Hahah – I have a travel urge – but the biz media is my obsession. And I can only travel in little increments at this stage of my life.

It’s hard for me to see people have wild and crazy adventures all over the world – but at the same time I am so so sooooooo lucky to have what I have and I hope it allows me to fill the more empty cups later in life.

Funny you say Bali, because I’ve heard that to be very comparable to the beauty of Costa Rica many times over the last week.

If that’s where your heart is – do it, book that one way! Don’t convince yourself not to. I look at everyday like its the first day of my life & true value in my life comes from these experiences. I am only rich by these moments. But you have to look in the context of your life, because not everyone values the same, right?

In due time, the jump will be calling you & you know I will be there to push & shove. Maybe, I’ll see you in Bali!

Thanks for the comment Funkstop. My heart has truly been touched by this experience & am so grateful to have lived this. Pura Vida is the new mandate of my life – the way of life I aspire to. I will definitely post the deets of the show as we find out more, supposedly airs mid December.
