So after we were robbed of our summer sunshine this year in July, I am awakened today in a ray of sunshine to welcome me into August. Those who know me know that I am not one to wake up early on a weekend voluntarily, but without hesitation, I could not have been more excited to wake up & discover what beauty of life today holds. Already, the agenda looks promising with a journey to the grand opening of Sashlik Grill Restaurant by good friend & previous MESA associate Omi Ahsan. Then, in the spirit of good ol’ crowds and costumes, I am going to check out the Caribana Parade down by the Exhibition Center for the first time… ever. I have always been one to absorb & feed off the energy of those around me and with all the events of laughter & joy in the city today, I can only expect that today will be a happy one.
